After the 2020 US presidential election, flight restrictions were also imposed on the airspace around the house of President-Elect Joe Biden in Delaware, but the restrictions are less stringent as aircraft are only banned under 3000 feet AGL if they are within three nautical miles of the Wilmington house

The trip comes after the U.S. Capitol was attacked and devastated by pro-Trump rioters who tried to disrupt and turn the election results upside down and prevent a Biden presidency. Both chambers of Congress were violated when the U.S. Capitol Police did not hold back the intruders

Camp David was largely shunned by Trump during his presidency in favor of Mar-a-Lago, his private club in Palm Beach, Fla. The compound has been used in the past for summits with world leaders, including Camp David -Agreement between Egypt and Israel in 1978
