After taking two on the chin from home this weekend, the Wine & is returning to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse for a four-game homestand against the T-Wolves on Monday night

On Sunday night, the Cavaliers abandoned their fourth competition on the road and squandered a double-digit lead in the third quarter before engaging in an unsuccessful rally in the last two minutes, with the Cavaliers dominating deep down – they finished the season high with 72 points in the color, beating the T-Wolves 55-34. But Cleveland also posted 19 sales, which led to a season high of 29 for Minnesota

The T-Wolves, who played their eighth straight game without Karl-Anthony Towns, lost 14 of their previous 16 before teeing off the Cavaliers on Sunday

Today’s matchup in Cleveland is the first of five games for Ryan Saunders. The Cavaliers are giving up a four-game homestand on Monday – with the Clippers on deck for Wednesday and a back-to-back with the Bucks for the weekend

While the Timberwolves continue to fight in the middle with no two-time All-Star Karl Anthony Cities, teams – (like the Cavaliers on Sunday) – will attack them in color

Averaging 542 points per game in the suit, only the Grizzlies and the Pacers are better than the Cavaliers who have been even better since the takeover of Jarrett Allen and Taurean Prince and scored at least 60 points in the suit in five of them last seven games since the deal

The lion’s share of the damage on Sunday night did Andre Drummond, who led both teams with 25 points and 22 boards – 9 out of 18 from the floor and 7 out of 10 from the strip, adding four assists, a bargain, and a block. It was that 44 20-point and 20-rebound game of his career and the 84th Time that he has won at least 20 boards in a game

In his last 12 games against Minnesota, the two-time Cavs All-Star has doubled each time – at least 20 points in six and at least 15 boards in eight of those games

Drummond’s backup, Jarrett Allen, was exactly as advertised since arriving in that three-team deal between Cleveland, Houston and Brooklyn

Current league leader in field target percentage at 684, Allen has been even better since arriving – shooting 697 from the ground in seven appearances, double-digit hits in six of them

Since joining the Cavs, the 22-year-old has averaged 12 on 0 points and 63 boards, has a blocked shot in every game but one, and is 16-of-18 off the streak

For those of us who didn’t really see No 1 overall pick Anthony Edwards through Sunday night, it’s obvious the former Georgia star is quickly finding something out

Edwards was built like an NFL tight end, but with the quickness of a point guard he looked terribly pleased in his second career start He scored 23 points in defeating Cleveland and went four assists with five boards and 9-of-15 off the floor

Sunday’s performance was his second 20-point performance in the last three games and the fifth in a row in double digits

Earliest improved candidate Malik Beasley almost doubled his scoring average in his first season with the Timberwolves and finished with 23 points in Sunday’s win over Cleveland – his fourth game in a row with more than 20 players

D’Angelo Russell was quiet during the first quarter and a half of Sunday’s competition, but a big bomb just before half seemed to wake him – and the former horse chestnut hit four more as Minnesota pulled in the second half
