CBS has posted new trailers for the upcoming reboot of The Equalizer with Queen Latifah and its follow-up series Clarice and the Silence of the Lambs during Super Bowl LV Sunday

The equalizer comes from Andrew Marlowe & Terri Miller, Davis Entertainment, Flavor Unit, Martin Chase Productions, Universal Television and CBS Studios

The Equalizer was written by Marlowe and Miller and plays Queen Latifah as an enigmatic character who uses her extensive abilities to help those with nowhere else to turn.This is a new take on the character Edward Woodward featured in the original series and Denzel Washington played in the film series

Marlowe and Miller are co-producing with Davis Entertainment’s John Davis and John Fox; Debra Martin Chase of Martin Chase Productions; Richard Lindheim, co-creator of the original Equalizer TV series; as well as Queen Latifah (real name Dana Owens) and Shakim Compere from Flavor Unit Universal TV produced in association with CBS Studios

Clarice stars Rebecca Breeds in the title role, which mirrors the role of Jodie Foster in the 1991 Oscar-winning film based on the novel by Thomas Harris.The sequel takes place in 1993, a year after the events of The Silence of the Lambs It Told the personal story of FBI Agent Clarice Starling (Breeds) as she returns to the field to track down serial killers and sexual predators as she navigates the high-profile political world of Washington, D.C.

Elizabeth Klaviter Executive produces Clarice and acts as Showrunner Klaviter and Lumet Executive produce with Kurtzman and Heather Kadin of Secret Hideout Aaron Baiers is Co-Executive Producer
