Hill sued Kenneth Heslep, who she said launched a “scorched earth attack” on her after she broke up with him by distributing nude photos to the Daily Mail and RedState, a conservative media outlet

“Less than five months after the split, nude pictures of Hill, who had previously only owned Heslep, were posted worldwide on the internet, along with intimate text messages and gruesome lies,” the lawsuit reads. “The media defendants have Heslep helped maximize Hill’s injury by extensively expanding and publishing deeply private and degrading confidential information and false statements, all of which were provided by Heslep ”

Emails from The Associated Press asking for comments from lawyers from Heslep and the media’s parent companies were not immediately returned

Hill’s lawsuit renews abuse allegations she brought against Heslep in her divorce proceedings, which led to an injunction against him in the Los Angeles Supreme Court earlier this month

Heslep, 37, was ordered to stay at least 100 yards from Hill, her mother and sister, and Hill’s dog, goat, and horse. She alleged he had killed her pets in the past to terrorize them

Hill, 33, resigned from Congress last year after nude pictures of her and an aide were leaked to conservative media. Heslep has previously denied these allegations
Hill admitted having an inappropriate affair with a female election worker, but denied allegations of a relationship with a male congressional officer. Relationship with a congressional officer was against house rules

Hill said the nude photos were provided by Heslep in an attempt to sabotage her career after she ended their 15-year relationship that began when she was 16

The injunction is in effect until December 30, when the judge decides whether to allow Hill’s motion to prevent Heslep from disclosing “confidential information” about Hill, such as her medical, sexual, or financial history, to the media or in social media spread

The lawsuit, filed in the same courthouse, said the Daily Mail published an article three days after the injunction was issued that contained 26 photos taken by Heslep, including an act of Hill taken without her consent

“The first amendment does not provide a license to sexually degrade and expose civil servants,” says the lawsuit. “This right does not extend to the non-consensual dissemination of nudes in which the person depicted here is an appropriate one Expectation of privacy had ”

The lawsuit alleges that Heslep and Mail Media, Inc, Parent company of Daily Mail, and Salem Media Group, Inc, owned by RedState, conspired and circulated intimate images of her without her consent.The lawsuit also alleges that Heslep intentionally caused her emotional stress and that the companies violated unfair business practices by violating privacy laws. p>
Hill is seeking unspecified financial damage and wants the images to be permanently removed from media company websites and all physical copies to be permanently destroyed
