Arlington County Police Department spokeswoman Ashley Savage declined to provide additional information on today’s deployment without confirming her earlier statement that ACPD supported DC Police under a mutual aid agreement

“ACPD does not provide tactical information such as the number of officers deployed,” said Savage. “The deployment of officers at D has not changed under the Mutual Assistance Agreement with the Metropolitan Police Department ”

The district has introduced a 6 pm to 6 am curfew Mark Schwartz, manager of Arlington County, said through a spokeswoman that Arlington has no plans for a curfew

Just before 3:30 p.m., Virginia Gov Ralph Northam said members of the Virginia National Guard and Virginia State Troopers are being sent to D.C.Maryland’s National Guard is also deployed at the request of Mayor Muriel Bowser
