Although Bob Odenkirk is the star and producer of Better Call Saul, he’s in the dark about where the show and his character are going for the upcoming sixth and final season

He told Jimmy Kimmel that he is deliberately avoiding the key details for season six because he enjoys the element of surprise as a viewer would have

When asked if series creator Vince Gilligan told him how Better Call Saul ends, Odenkirk replied directly, “He didn’t”

Odenkirk, who received makeup and crutches for the interview segment to promote his new film Nobody, added, “I don’t know what’s going to happen I like to be surprised I enjoy it like a Audience Wherever this story goes – it’s always surprising “

The actor went on to say that Gilligan and others tried to tell him how the show ends and what happened to Jimmy / Saul, but he got none of it

“I’m going, ‘Shut up! I don’t want to know!'” he said “It’s perfectly fine with me, I’d rather find out and be surprised”

Odenkirk also confirmed that by the time he recorded his interview with Kimmel he was filming an episode of the final season of Better Call Saul. There will be 10 episodes in total

Previously, Odenkirk teased that season six of Better Call Saul will have a dramatic conclusion with a lot of violence, which is to be expected given the conclusion of season five, we know Jimmy / Saul survived because he continues in the Breaking Bad Timeline appears, but how he gets there remains a mystery Better Call Saul also features black and white flash-forward episodes that reveal more about Saul’s life in witness protection after the events of Breaking Bad, so fans will be excited to see what else could come of those in season 6

Odenkirk is currently doing the rounds to promote his new movie Nobody, an action film in which he plays a humble man who becomes an action hero. We recently saw a behind-the-scenes video where Odenkirk gets in shape and does practices performing his own stunts in the film under the guidance of John Wicks David Leitch

While Better Call Saul may end with season 6, AMC has ordered an animated spinoff called Slippin ‘Jimmy and a new season of the Employee Training miniseries
