Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger has launched a new campaign to take the party back from the influence of members like Donald Trump and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene

‘The Republican Party is lost if we want to lead again, we have to have the courage to remember who we are,’ said 42-year-old Kinzinger in a video in which he started his Country 1st PAC

‘Republicans have to say enough is enough it’s time to unplug the outrage machine, reject the politics of personality and toss aside the conspiracy theories and anger,’ he added,

His political action committee, featured in a six-minute video released on Sunday, will question the current direction of a GOP that Kinzinger claims has falsely become a Trump-First party ‘

“The greatest danger right now is that we have become a party that deals with conspiracies and not just lies,” said the GOP representative from Illinois

RepAdam Kinzinger launches new Super PAC to take the Republican Party back from the influence of Donald Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene

‘We trade in conspiracies and we trade in lies,’ Rep Adam Kinzinger said of GOP under the influence of former President Donald Trump and Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene

The PAC will serve as its way of financially influencing the GOP ahead of the 2022 midterm elections

And it is because the Republican Party is grappling with a deep rift in its ranks – between the radical beliefs associated with Trump and Greene and the traditionalists seeking to bring the party back to its conservative roots / p>

Kinzinger, a former darling of the conservative tea party movement, denied the views of people like Greene and made it clear that he believes the GOP leader of the House, Kevin McCarthy, is a weak leader in dealing with the more radical elements the GOP has shown

But his move also highlights the dilemma many Republicans face – when they speak out against Trump, they anger the former president’s millions of loyal supporters who are a force in their own right in the GOP

Kinzinger announced to NBC on Sunday that friends and family had turned against him, telling him he was possessed by the devil when he distanced himself from the Trump wing

He was one of 10 Republicans who voted to appoint Trump for inciting the attack on Jan. Kinzinger is an Air Force veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the Illinois Republican Party is expected to reprimand Kinzinger for his impeachment decision

He condemned the actions of Greene, who has gained national notoriety in the past few days when her previous reflections came to light on social media, including believing California’s wildfire was caused by space lasers; claimed that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was using a double body before she died; and that Hillary Clinton and Huma Abedin cut off a child’s face while they were alive – all wrong

Kinzinger also had harsh words for Trump’s allies on Capitol Hill RepJim Jordan, who urged Republican Rep. Liz Cheney to be excluded from the party leadership for criticizing Trump for inciting the MAGA mob who did this Attacked the Capitol, leaving five dead and a path of destruction

“They are political terrorists,” Kinzinger said of Jordan and its allies on a Zoom call with reporters over the weekend, according to The Washington Post,

But Greene also has a strong backers cache of her own.She announced on Friday that she had raised $ 1.6 million from all the controversy around her and revealed on Saturday that she had spoken to Trump who she has in the past referred to as the “future Republican star” ‘

Republicans face their own bill if they’re on the way forward after losing control of the White House and Senate to Democrats

McCarthy is expected to meet with Greene in person this week to discuss her social media posts, many of which were made prior to her membership in Congress, in which she expressed her support for the assassination of Democratic politicians, extolling unsubstantiated QAnon- Theories along with racist views

The House Republican Conference meets on Wednesday to discuss Cheney’s status and whether Greene should be punished for her actions

McCarthy originally said Trump had some responsibility for the MAGA uprising on Jan. January on Capitol Hill, for which the former president criticized him and allegedly referred to him as “p *** y” ‘

But McCarthy apparently made amends on Thursday when he met with Trump in Mar-a-Lago, Palm Beach, Fla. in a meeting that was described as “very good and warm.” The ad was featured with a photo of the two smiling men released

Adam Kinzinger referred to Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (left) and Rep Jim Jordan (right) as “political terrorists”

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy will be meeting with Rep Greene this week on her controversial social media posts and the entire House GOP will meet on Wednesday on the topic

‘I’ve been disappointed for the past few weeks to see the Republican Party wake up and then go back to sleep and say,’ Well, you know what matters if we can win in two years and we don’t want the base check it off, ”he said

“The photo,” he noted, “shows that the former president is desperate to continue looking like he is running the party”‘

Criticizing the current state of the Republican Party, Kinzinger told NBC’s Meet the Press that we should take a look at the past four years, how far we’ve come down a bad road, how backward we are, how much darkness we have and sell split And this ain’t the party I ever signed up for And I think most Republicans didn’t sign up for that ‘

“That doesn’t mean we don’t have to fight back to defend what we believe are conservative principles,” he remarked. “But now when I ask people what a conservative principle is, how many people think that conservative principles are things like “build the wall” and, you know, charge the Capitol and have an insurrection? ”
