That’s not really a statement as it has been pointed out many times this season that Shaq doesn’t really know how the NBA game is played today, don’t really know who’s playing it, and I don’t care that he doesn’t know

Shaq showed up at AEW’s Dynamite on Wednesday night, and I have to be honest with you, as a fan, I’d been waiting to hate his looks since it was announced weeks ago.It smelled like Dennis Rodman or Steve McMichael who’s in WCW showed up (there is an awesome twitter feed dedicated to the latter) So it looked like they were desperately looking for reviews Just more of the bullshit AEW has gotten a little too deep into lately Shaq would either be completely disinterested or completely helpless in the ring

And you know what? I didn’t hate it, nowhere near, for one thing, Shaq looked like he had the time of his life as troubled as he is when he looks on TNT’s basketball coverage, the opposite was the case that they didn’t let him do much in what Okay, but what he had to do, he leaned into it, including a pretty nasty table space

Most of all, though, it was used as a vehicle to showcase two new (ish) women on the show at Jade Cargill and Red Velvet. They were in the spotlight of the game and the AEW’s biggest problem was the division of women they both saw looking like stars, especially Cargill, and having eyes curious enough to see Shaq was just a plus. It wasn’t about Shaq at all, after all, which was perfect
