California Democratic MP Jimmy Gomez officially tabled a resolution on Friday to expel Georgia Republican representative Marjorie Taylor Greene from Congress suggested that she “advocate violence against our colleagues, the spokeswoman and our government.”

“I am not pleased with the introduction of this resolution, but any member who cites political violence and threatens our lives must be expelled,” said Gomez on Friday. “I think some of my Republican colleagues, and one in particular, would like this legislature Harming Corporate Body I’m not saying this for shock score. This is the conclusion I came to after a member of Congress advocated violence against our colleagues, the Speaker and our government ”

Under the Constitution, the House of Representatives has the power to expel any member with a two-thirds vote, but it is not expected to vote for it, especially among Republican members. However, support for the resolution shows the resentment and division that which since the riots on 6 January and the storm on the Capitol have gained a foothold in the house

In February the House voted to remove Greene from her committee duties This was a pivotal move, due to the recently exposed red-hot and violent testimony by Congressmen in the past that sparked widespread backlash from Democrats and divided Congressional Republicans

The House Democrats, who control the House, prepared the vote after initially attempting to pressure Republicans to take Georgia Republicans out of their own committee duties, but House Republicans did not take those steps

Greene defended himself in a speech on the floor of the house before the vote, trying to distance herself from the dangerous and debunked QAnon conspiracy theory she had previously adopted

The outrage over Greene deepened in Congress following a report by CNN’s KFile in which she repeatedly expressed her support for the execution of prominent Democratic politicians in 2018 and 2019 before she was elected to Congress
The Georgia Republican also has issues with recently re-surfaced comments on the 2018 Parkland School shootings

In a statement to CNN, Greene said, “The House Democrats have declared war on the Republican women of the house”The Democrats are trying to undo the will of the people who voted for both me and Congressman Miller-Meeks”
