REPUBLICAN gun rights activist Lauren Boebert has brought charges against the new metal detector measures on Capitol Hill after the violent protests

Boebert criticized the requirements of the Capitol screening process, calling it a “political stunt” by Nancy Pelosi

Lauren Boebert was born on Jan. Born December 1986, she is an American politician and gun rights activist who served as U.S. representative for Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District functions

Boebert defeated incumbent Congressman Scott Tipton in the 2020 primary, making it the first woman to win Colorado’s 3rd Congress district represented in Congress

During Beto O’Rourke’s 2020 presidential campaign in Aurora, Colorado, Boebert hopefully challenged the president on his gun buyback program proposal, saying, “Hell, no, you will not take our guns””

In November 2020, Boebert said she planned to carry a gun as a congresswoman on Capitol Hill in Washington DC

“I am legally allowed to carry my gun in Washington, DC and the Capitol Complex,” she tweeted

“Metal detectors outside the house wouldn’t have stopped the violence we saw last week – it’s just another political stunt by spokesman Pelosi”

In early January, Boebert wrote a letter to the House asking them to allow a 1967 rule that allows lawmakers to carry firearms in the Capitol

Boebert went on 12 January through the detectors holding her bag, and when the alarm went off, she refused to turn in her belongings for a search

Although the Capitol Police Department does not appear to have been vetted, the Capitol Police Department reportedly allowed them to enter the chamber of the house

Rep. Markwayne Mullin said police officers “cannot stop me” from entering the house, as did Louie Gohmert, who walked around the detector for that reason

Rep. Steve Womack started when he walked through the detector and told the cops, “You are creating a problem the implications of which you do not understand”

“So that members of Congress can step on the floor of the US House, we have to go through tough security measures now, on top of the security we have already gone through, “Lasko tweeted

“These new regulations involve searching and frolicking like criminals. We now live in Pelosi’s Communist America!”
