Little Mix fans were excited to see Little Mix on the Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday

The girl band appeared on the ITV chat show after the release of their sixth album ‘Confetti’

But there was a notable absence with only Perrie Edwards, 27, Jade Thirlwall, 27 and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 29 on the program

It’s her first TV appearance since Jesy Nelson announced her extended break from the group

The 29-year-old announced she was on hiatus earlier this week after finishing the Little Mix The Search finale and hosting the MTV EMAs

A spokesperson for the band said: “Jesy has extended Little Mix’s free time for private medical reasons.

“We will not be making any further comments at this time and we ask the media to respect their privacy at this time”

It is not clear if their appearance on the Jonathan Ross Show was filmed prior to the announcement when the remaining trio performed and chatted with the host, indicating the pressure the band is under

After watching the clip from the X Factor days, Perrie admits, “I don’t think we expected this. When you’re young and thinking about being a pop star, you think,” Oh, me want everyone to love me and ask for my autograph “Then you get thrown in and you think, ‘Holy’s *** balls, it’s a lot’

“We don’t rest, we don’t sleep. But we love success, so we are ready to work for it and it’s been an amazing 10 years!”

Leigh-Anne added, “People don’t see the hardship of what’s going on behind the scenes. People don’t understand the pressure

“People sometimes see pop stars and think, ‘Oh, it’s glamor and glitz,’ but it’s really hard”
