Mark Hamill remembered Carrie Fisher on the fourth anniversary of the Star Wars actress’s death with a sweet homage

Carrie died on Jan. December 2016 suffered cardiac arrest a few days after her illness on a flight from London to Los Angeles

To mark the anniversary, Mark, who played Luke Skywalker alongside Carrie – who was Princess Leia – in 1977 shared a photo of the credits of a Star Wars film that read: “In Loving Memory of Our Princess Carrie Fisher”

The actor has always made sure to remember Carrie on important dates in the year since her death, most recently on her 64 Birthday

Mark shared a touching photo of him kissing Carrie with the caption, “Happy Birthday Carrie Frances Fisher The world will never stop missing you ‘

Carrie fell sick on a flight four days before she died A passenger sat nearby and reported that she stopped breathing about 15 minutes before the plane landed

CPR was performed on her until paramedics arrived, and she was then rushed to the hospital and remained in intensive care until she died four days later at the age of 60

She died before she finished filming the most recent Star Wars trilogy, and director JJ Abrams used footage from The Force Awakens for The Rise Of Skywalker

The star’s mother and Hollywood actress, Debbie Reynolds, also died the day after her daughter died on Jan. December at the age of 84 after suffering a stroke when arranging Carrie’s family funeral

Carrie was a popular star in the Star Wars films, playing Princess Leia from the original Star Wars film in 1977
