Sam Neill blamed James Nesbitt for helping him perfect his Irish accent in Peaky Blinders

Sam, 73, will be attending tonight with Graham Norton on today’s edition of the Graham Norton Show from his New Zealand vineyard

The actor talked about his role in Peaky Blinders, where he plays Inspector Chester Campbell, and how he got a little help with his accent from a fellow actor

Of course, while Neill was born in Northern Ireland, he doesn’t have a native accent, but turned to friend James for help

When asked how James helped him improve it, Sam cheekily replied, “He was immensely helpful, especially with the four-letter words!”

Peaky Blinders, who was forced to take a production break due to Covid-19, recently confirmed that the sixth and final season will be shot again

Sam also offered an update on Jurassic World: Dominion, where he played his role as Dr Alan Grant alongside Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas-Howard

He said, “It’s been put on hold for a year, so it’s due out next May”We filmed everything in Pinewood and it’s going to be huge so hopefully some movie theaters will be open soon for people to see!”

The film has also been hampered by the coronavirus pandemic, with production even being suspended due to positive tests

Even if it did, the virus was treated seriously on set.Sam previously spoke about the challenges of shooting during the pandemic, saying the cast and crew tested for coronavirus three times a week

Jurassic World: Dominion was supposed to be released in June 2021, but got a full year to Dec. June 2022 postponed to October last year

At Peaky Blinders it is not yet clear when the final season will land, since the show is just getting into production, chances are we won’t see it until at least 2022
