Georgia Tennant has revealed that she was told she was on screen as the wife of David Tennant, her real, “not convinced” -life husband

The couple star in the new BBC sitcom Staged, which centers on David and Michael Sheen, two stage actors preparing a new stage production while in the coronavirus era

Filmed at the Sheen and Tennant homes under strict COVID-19 protocols, Staged meant the Tennants shared the screen for the first time as a married couple after appearing together on Doctor Who prior to their relationship

In a recent interview with Radio Times, Georgia said that “nobody would let me” play alongside her husband before the new show

She added, “For one thing, I was told by a casting director that I wasn’t a convincing partner for him. I said,” But we’re married with some kids! ‘”

“Basically, any actor who could possibly play the role would have to be eliminated in order for me to play his wife”

“I don’t think that’s what we imagined,” added David in the same interview, “And imagine if you had to tell my wife that she is being played by someone else”

One of several productions filmed during and in connection with the coronavirus pandemic is being staged. Anne Hathaway will appear in Locked Down, a new film by Stephen Knight, the inventor of Peaky Blinders, which is known as the romantic comedy against the backdrop of the pandemic ”

In the film, married couple Linda (Hathaway) and Paxton (Ejiofor) decide to split just before a nationwide lockdown is announced, which means they are stuck at home together, soon to be in UK theaters and HBO Max next week (14 January) to the USA

Elsewhere, Stephen Soderbergh has announced that he is working on a “philosophical” sequel to his 2011 pandemic thriller Contagion, which has seen ratings soar this year as the world looked at the COVID-19 outbreak / p>
