Road closures were imposed today following reports of a disturbance and fire at Napier Barracks in Folkestone

People who live and work in the area are advised to close their windows and doors as a precaution, as smoke will be generated from the incident

Just after 6 p.m., the fire was under control in a one-story building in Napier Barracks in, and firefighters were dampening the remaining hot spots

The previous advice to those in the area to close windows and doors because of smoke has been repealed

It is still recommended that you avoid the area while the emergency services are working on site

This is a difficult time for the whole country, and these actions have put more strain on public resources
