Rufus Hound will be among the first six celebrities to star in Dancing On Ice (DOI) 2021

Twelve famous faces have registered for the ITV skating competition Half make their debut this weekend and the other six will start the show next week

Rufus arrives at DOI a week earlier than planned to stand up for Graham Bell, who had to postpone his entry into the competition after partner Yebin Mok had a horror accident

This means the actor and comedian will appear on the first live show with partner Robin

Rufus, real name Robert James Blair Simpson, began his career in 2000 as a full-time stand-up comedian

He then appeared on a number of TV and radio comedy panels over the years before moving on to a successful stage career

Rufus also played a fictional version of himself on the CBBC TV series Hounded and starred in Doctor Who and Channel 4’s acclaimed drama Cucumber
