‘He Gave Us Everything’: Daniel Kaluuya has revealed that the sequel to Black Panther will honor the legacy of late co-star Chadwick Boseman

“He was an incredible man with an incredible soul,” said Get Out star host Graham Norton admiringly of a Zoom appearance

Despite his diagnosis, the actor continued to work and made several films “during and between countless operations and chemotherapy,” his family said in a statement at the time

Fans had speculated that Chadwick’s character in the Black Panther sequel would be remodeled to a different actor, or even created through CG technology

Tragic: The actor died in August, aged just 43, after a four-year private battle with colon cancer (Chadwick and Daniel pictured in Black Panther in 2018)

Daniel will soon be featured in a new crime biopic Judas and the Black Messiah

The actor will play legendary Black Panther leader Fred Hampton, who was betrayed by FBI informant William O’Neal (Lakeith Stanfield), who infiltrated the group in a plea

Talking about his preparation to play the political activist in real life, Daniel said to Graham, “I had so much to do – I read the Black Panther’s entire reading list to try to understand the thinking ‘” / P>

‘He was an incredible man with an incredible soul’: Marvel executives have confirmed that the late actor will not be replaced in Black Panther 2

“I had an opera vocal coach who helped me project my voice for all of the speeches,” he revealed, “It’s been a lot and I’ve worked very hard ‘

Despite the politically charged actions of many of Daniel’s latest films, the actor has said he doesn’t want his career to be defined by a race debate

He previously said in an interview with the Radio Times: ‘The Fades is not about racing, Psychoville is not about racing, Skins is not about racing, the chat room is not about racing, Johnny English Reborn is not about racing

‘But that almost gets erased there is a narrative going on I’m not going to ignore the fact that I’m surrounded by (racial issues), but I’m not defined by it, I’m just Daniel who happens to be black’
