Billie Shepherd had to go to the hospital for an MRI scan to check for an ice training session where she was worried about serious head injuries

The mother of two, known as Billie Faiers prior to her wedding to Greg Shepherd, was knocked out on Friday during practice for tonight’s show when part of her routine went horribly wrong

She slipped and fell while practicing with pro partner Mark Hanretty on the rink at Bovingdon Airfield Studio and hit her head hard on the ice

Billie was rushed to the hospital and scanned to make sure she hadn’t sustained any serious injury besides her concussion

After the doctors were injured from the effects of their fall, they advised the former TOWIE star to withdraw from the rest of the competition

ITV confirmed the news in a statement to Der Spiegel last night, saying: “During rehearsals for this week’s show, Billie Shepherd fell

“After the professional advice of the medical team at Dancing On Ice, she is unfortunately unable to perform this weekend and is therefore now withdrawing from the competition. We wish Billie all the best as she is now taking the time to rest and relax”

Poor Billie only managed to officially skate once on the show, scoring a respectable 250 out of 40 from the judges on the second episode of the series

But she missed the show from last weekend after the tragic death of her Nan and was ready to return tonight when she had her accident

Her skating partner Matt paid a cute tribute to Billie on Sunday morning and shared a video of her elegant routine for tonight’s show

“I love my job at @dancingonice and this show was still one of my favorites,” he said of the moving clip on Instagram

“@billiefaiersofficial is a wonderfully humble, friendly real & lady, I’m so sad that a freak accident drove us out of the competition on Friday night

“I’m proud of how brave and hard she trained this week, and our routine was one of my all-time favorites for the best songs by @harrystyles

“Here is a clip from the rehearsals I hope you all enjoy it and you can see how much it has improved”

So far it has been a dramatic series, with all the various injuries and enforced quarantine sparking speculation about a Dancing On Ice curse

Rufus Hound first had to miss his second show after coming into contact with someone who tested positive for Covid-19 – and then had to quit the series entirely when he contracted the virus

Denise Van Outen also had to compete after a terrible injury hit her shoulder in three places and she could no longer skate

She has been replaced by Olympic gymnast Amy Tinkler and skater Joe Johnson, while Rufus has been replaced by Matt Richardson and pro-skater Vicky Ogden
