There are numerous studies that show the health risks associated with prolonged sitting, but there is good news! A new study found that, despite all the sedentary time, just 11 minutes of exercise a day can extend your lifespan

You may be wondering about the hours-per-day measurement you’ve been hearing about for years that is true; Previous studies, including a popular 2016 study, originally set the daily exercise goal for mortality benefits at 60 to 75 minutes, but this study was based on self-reported data presented in this latest study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine were found to be incorrect because people remembered their actual level of activity

Scientists from the Norwegian School of Sports Medicine took a more objective approach, basing their research on the use of activity monitors to track movement versus time spent sitting.The results showed that participants who exercised 35 minutes a day had the largest statistical difference in Regarding the lifespan, only 11 minutes of moderate exercise – which corresponds to a brisk walk – nevertheless had a noticeably positive effect. In addition, both time frames had a positive effect regardless of the session duration

While 35 minutes of exercise every day is better for your health, a lower barrier to entry makes it easier to get even the most inactive among us moving – and still extends your lifespan

Four rounds of three minutes each makes 12 minutes, but it’s fine – you can handle the bonus minute.Depending on the exercises you use, you can choose a slightly different pace for each round, which takes about 11 minutes

When choosing your exercises, try to choose a sequence of movements that are equivalent to full-body workout with moderate exertion.For example, avoid doing only upper body movements unless you plan to do lower body movements the next day

Ideally, do a combination like the following example, determining the number of repetitions for each exercise based on your fitness level and maintaining a three-minute sequence for the timeframe

It’s just you and your jam.It only takes three or four songs to hit your 11 minute threshold So let go of your inhibitions and get your groove on

If you live in a full house, dancing alone may not always be an option Add some time for family bonding and mental health by hosting a family dance party
