Black Widow – when released after several delays – will take a look back at Natasha Romanoff’s recent past between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, when the hero is on the Escape is

But after Marvel fans saw Natasha come to her tragic end in Avengers: Endgame when she sacrificed her life so Clint Barton / Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) could receive the soul stone to stop Thanos (Josh Brolin), we know it’s only so far for the MCU to be able to record the story of the character before her death

But does Natasha’s death mean Scarlett Johansson will no longer appear in Marvel films after Black Widow’s upcoming solo story is told? It seems we can’t be sure, as Jac Schaeffer, co-writer of Black Widow explained to ComicBookcom, that she can’t be sure what the future holds for the character

“Well, you know I was lucky enough to get on the Black Widow train when it left the station and then I went to WandaVision and several other very talented writers took the pen and went on,” said they

“So I can’t really speak to the entirety of Black Widow except to say that I’m so excited for it to come out”

With the exact plot details of Black Widow still a secret and Marvel is no stranger to bringing back deceased characters, it appears that Vision (Paul Bettany) stars in WandaVision, not to rule out another return for Natasha in the future , especially since a large part of her life was not shown on screen

What we know about Black Widow is that Natasha will be reuniting with her old Red Room family, including Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz), and Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian (David Harbor)

In December 2020, it was confirmed that Pugh would play Yelena again in the upcoming Hawkeye series for Disney In addition to Renner and Hailee Steinfeld, there are other MCU connections

Disney recently confirmed the run time of Black Widow and announced that the film would be 2 hours and 13 minutes long
