Ex-children of Bodom frontman Alexi Laiho died according to the former wife of an “alcohol-related degeneration of the connective tissue of the liver and pancreas”

According to an Instagram post by Kimberley Goss, who was briefly married to Laiho in 2002 and describes herself as his “legal widow”, the former Frontman of Children Of Bodom died of “alcohol-related degeneration of the connective tissue of the liver and pancreas” ” Goss says Laiho also had “a combination of pain relievers, opioids, and insomnia drugs in his system”

Laiho died on Jan. December unexpectedly at his Helsinki home at the age of 41, the singer and guitarist had previously discussed his previous struggles with alcohol abuse

In her post, Goss paid tribute to Laiho: “The loss of this extraordinarily talented and beautiful soul is a tragedy that was completely avoidable. He had so many good years in us. Imagine all the amazing music we could still get, if only he’d accepted help

“I ask anyone who has struggled with alcoholism or other drug problems to seek support. You don’t face the same fate. When people try to help you, remember that they are doing it out of love and concern, so.” please don’t push them away please don’t surround yourself with enablers that encourage your addiction Let this be a cautionary story that no one is invincible ”

Goss added that she hopes to create a “foundation or charity” to help people struggling with similar problems
