The booking page went online at 9:00 a.m. With reservations for the South region, but almost immediately, the Albertans used social media to say they couldn’t even get online

Last May, Alberta Parks’ reservations page crashed when thousands of people tried to book websites, resulting in a deluge of unhappy campers
Alberta Parks uses a staggered approach to reservations, with Kananaskis opening at 11:00 AM and the central area at 13:00 AM00 p.m. and the northern region at 3 p.m.00 a.m.
As a reminder: you can only book a campsite 90 days in advance, while comfort campsites can be booked up to 180 days in advance
Alberta Parks recommends that you create an account right away and see which campsite to book so that you don’t feel overwhelmed when reservations are made
If last year there were signs that spots are going to be booked up pretty quickly, as 2020 is close to 300000 reservations made was the busiest camping season in Alberta ever The previous year had 200000 bookings
