A robbery took place at a grocery store on Kathleen Street around 8:30 p.m. Sunday evening
Greater Sudbury Police say they learned that a man entered the building, approached the money, showed a knife, and asked for money
The staff immediately contacted the police and the man escaped on foot without receiving any cash. No one was injured during the interaction
Just before 9 p.m. Sunday night, police reported on their Twitter page that there was a heavy police presence in the Kathleen Street area of Bessie Avenue following the robbery when a K9 route was carried out
As of 10 pm, police said the route was complete but the suspect had not been found
The man is described as a white man, 5-10 to 6-0 tall, medium-sized and weighed 180-200 pounds. He wore a black hoodie, dark jeans, gray sneakers and a black and red plaid headscarf over his face. p>
