The warning was issued at 3:15 pm and warned of two forest fires east of Highway 2 between the towns of Stavely and Fort Macleod

At 4:37 p.m., the alert was updated to indicate that runaway wildfire was moving towards Claresholm, driven by extreme winds

The Alberta Emergency Alert was canceled at 7 p.m. with an update stating that firefighters were holding the fire

A note on the MD of Willow Creek website on Sunday evening stated that any residents who had left their property could return
