Indoor private gatherings are restricted to members of immediate households in the latest round of COVID-19 restrictions outside of Saskatchewan

The new restrictions apply in addition to those on Nov announced 27 and will be on Dec. come into force 17

Single-person households are allowed to enter into co-parenting agreements with a household with a maximum of five people, caregivers and support services at home are allowed to continue

Prime Minister Scott Moe said in a press conference Monday that due to the spread of COVID-19, a “different kind of Christmas” would be happening this year “

“I know this will be a great challenge for many of us,” said Moe. “It has to be a quieter Christmas, let’s take advantage of the quiet time ahead of us”

Moe suggested spending time with his immediate household, working from home, and enjoying outdoor activities in the community to pass the time over the holidays

Retail locations must reduce their capacity by 50 percent from Christmas onwards. Large stores must limit their capacity to 25 percent

Including staff, personal services are allowed to be 50 percent full. This includes hairdressing, hairdressing, aesthetics, massage therapy, acupuncture and tattoo services

Event venues, conference facilities, arenas, art venues, museums, film and live theaters and banquet facilities can still accommodate up to 30 people, including weddings, funerals and places of worship
“In the event that there is a discrepancy between the guidelines for reopening Saskatchewan and the public health instructions, the public health instructions must be followed,” the province said in a news release
