As Premier François Legault hinted at yesterday’s Montreal press conference alongside Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, summer time (and later sunsets) has inspired the Quebec government to change its curfew

According to La Presse, Legault & co will announce today at 5 p.m. that the curfew will be extended from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Montreal and other red zones, allowing shops and cinemas to stay open a little longer

The curfew will completely go away in the orange zones of Quebec now known as the yellow zones – namely Gaspesie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Côte Nord and Nord-du-Québec

Meanwhile, high school kids in grades 9 through 11 in the Orange and Yellow Zones will resume face-to-face tuition all day

The public health rules reflect those currently in place in orange zones: max 250 capacity, physical distance and masks
