As the pandemic progresses, this quasi-virtual whirlwind of an awards season is also growing.Days after a number of entertainment greats took the stage at the Latin Grammy Awards, it is already time for the next ceremony in 2020: American Music Awards on Sunday

While we’re looking at the nominations for the 63rd Waiting for the Grammy Awards on Tuesday, many of the biggest music stars compete for fan-set prizes, from favorite music video to artist of the year

And this year the AMAs introduced new categories in the Latin and hip-hop genre, including favorite rap / hip-hop artists, favorite Latin artists, and Latin – Favorite songs

The three-hour AMAs show will air live at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on ABC starting at 5 p.m. tonight, Pacific The ceremony can also be streamed on the ABC website with a cable subscription and on Hulu Live TV

Viewers can access additional AMAs content on the awards show’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube pages throughout the night

Meg will likely release a live version of a track from her brand new album “Good News”, which arrived on Friday. And pop star Katy Perry will play “Only Love”, also a tune from her latest studio entry “Smile” ”

Other participants are Bell Biv DeVoe and Nelly, who will each present “a medley of memorable club banging hits”, as well as Jennifer Lopez and Maluma, who will bring their two-fold collaboration of “Pa Ti” / “Lonely” with the upcoming romantic comedy “Marry Me” on the AMAs stage

And the pop phenomenon Bieber will play its emotional new singles “Lonely” with Benny Blanco and “Holy” with Chance the Rapper

Similar to previous awards shows during the pandemic, Henson and some of the other talent are taking turns on the Microsoft Theater stage, however, due to the ongoing public health emergency, there will be no audience in the studio
