A series of explosive allegations allege that the incident occurred after former NRL player James Segeyaro was racially abused by a group of four men

The statement says that Norman and Segeyaro, a former Penrith and Cronulla star, had finished dinner with two women when they were approached

“Chicko (Segeyaro) and Corey were involved in an altercation in Cronulla on Friday evening,” the statement said on the YKTR Instagram page

“Before the media got a chance to do their thing, we wanted to be completely transparent – here’s what happened: The two boys went home after dinner with two women when they were greeted by a group of four men One of them started to racially abuse Chicko and called him the N-word

“There was an argument and Corey came in to defuse the situation. He was then blind and a fight broke out. It was almost broken when one of them threatened to pull a knife”

The strange statement did not apologize for the actions of Norman and Segeyaro for their involvement in hand-to-hand combat

“As an individual and as a brand, we will always defend ourselves against racism,” says the statement

“Sometimes it’s so easy to re-share a post to create a video. Other times it means defending yourself. Although we don’t condone violence, when there is time to fight, take action against racism, the feminine one Protect company and have your girlfriend’s back

“Corey informed his club the next morning and we contacted the RLPA about the incident”
