Abu Dhabi has announced its plans for a stunning series of celebrations to be held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates on New Years Eve Most of them will be available to viewers far and wide to participate virtually, all from the comfort of their own home

The capital of the United Arab Emirates continues to lead in efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic This has not only made it an attractive global travel destination, but also one of the safest cities to visit – especially as the vaccine becomes more accessible
In fact, the United Arab Emirates was most recently recognized by the Global Soft Power Index, the top position in the Middle East and the fourteenth in the world for its efficient management of the COVID-19 pandemic

For this reason, residents as well as visitors and international people are invited to greet the New Year from afar by meeting on Thursday the 31st December, at midnight (3:00 p.m. EST) on Abu Dhabi TV, Emarat TV and UAE_BARQ’s official Instagram page, Yas Island fireworks will also be seen in person from various vantage points, including restaurants in Yas Marina

“2020 was a truly extraordinary year that presented companies worldwide with various challenges and, above all, the opportunity to innovate,” said Ali Al Shaiba, Executive Director for Tourism and Marketing at DCT Abu Dhabi, about the celebrations

???? Despite the limitations of public mobility, our community and partners in Abu Dhabi have shown exceptional commitment, creativity and collaboration that have been instrumental in making the complexity easier to deal withâ ????

While most of us will be spending the New Year in the comfort of our own home (some of us have probably curled up on the couch in our pajamas), a little glitz and glamor, albeit virtual, will still be a welcome reminder of the more exciting Times before us

“???? As we head into a new year, we are optimistic about the future and we sincerely wish our community, partners and people around the world a great year” ???? added Ali Al Shaiba
