Macarthur coach Ante Milicic has praised the class of potential new signings from Milos Ninkovic after burning the bulls again, making it an important goal for Sydney FC in a 3-0 win at Campbelltown Stadium

Earlier this week, Ninkovic admitted that after meeting Milicic in late 2019, he was close to signing the A-League’s newest franchise

And in a dramatic game that was an hour late at halftime, Ninkovic reminded the Cops exactly what they had missed

“Yes, it had quality, but to cut us through, I thought we could have had a little more contact there, but in the end it has that quality

In the 76 In the minute, the Sky Blues led 1-0 when Ninkovic slipped through the defense and scored the decisive goal

It’s been a rough night for the cops that started when they were in the 21st Minute their skipper Mark Milligan lost to a red card when he defeated Trent Buhagiar with a wild kick

Except for 10 men, the bulls looked better in the first half when they went 0-0 into the shed

Thunderstorms threatened to end the game at any point in time with a distinct lightning bolt less than three miles from the stadium

Ninkovic’s goal came from a brace against lively teenager Patrick Wood in the first derby between the two Sydney teams

The 18-year-old was only six minutes on the field when he scored the first goal of his A-League career, clearing a distraction from goalkeeper Adam Federici with a toe on the ball

The goal revived the Sky Blues, who looked strangely exhausted in the 66 minutes prior, despite having an extra man on the field

Wood’s take from the bench came as coach Steve Corica searched for an energy shot, pressuring Buhagiar, Anthony Caceres and Luke Bratten

In the 86 Minute he iced the result and used some unusual footwork and a square ball from Jordan Swibel in the penalty area to really shoot into the lower right corner for his double

“You have to be in the right places, but I thought he did really well,” Corica said of Wood

Sydney will play Wellington at Jubilee Stadium on Monday, while the Bulls will face Western Sydney in Campbelltown on Saturday
