OBERSTDORF, Germany (Reuters) – The Norwegian Therese Johaug showed another achievement to win the 30 km long classic race on Saturday to get her fourth gold medal at the FIS World Ski Championships

Johaug had a lead of 06 seconds in the first intermediate time, she continued to build, ran a third of the race for almost a minute and barely looked over his shoulder

The lead continued to grow and only on 26 7 km marks that the 32-year-old, who missed the 2018 Olympics while serving a doping ban, took her foot off the gas slightly

But by then the rest of the field was almost three minutes behind and had no chance of catching her as she drove to another spectacular win

Behind her, a pack of four battled for the silver medal, and it was Johaug’s Norwegian compatriot Weng who reached the final straight at the top and fought off a challenge from Karlsson to finish second six tenths of a second, two minutes and 342 seconds behind Johaug had crossed the line
