No reason given, no replacement announced on a day Veteran baseball radio announcer Mike Wilner and the Blue Jays split

Rogers Sportsnet said the Toronto native has a “voice that has become synonymous with Blue Jays baseball”

Wilner said on a social media post on Friday that “his heart is broken,” but added that he is grateful for the chance to “live an absolute dream”

Wilner knew baseball inside out and was never shy of voicing his opinion, whether people liked it or not

Before the 2019 season, he became the full-time radio announcer for the Blue Jays alongside Ben Wagner

Wilner named most of the games in 2018 after longtime announcer Jerry Howarth retired

For over 20 years, @ Wilnerness590 has been helping #BlueJays fans get closer to the game we all love.Thank you, Mike 👏 https: // tco / 5h8JOd8DgU
