MELBOURNE (Reuters) – The German sixth Alexander Zverev used his strong serve to score the 23rd Seed Dusan Lajovic from Serbia to defeat 6: 4: 7: 6 (5): 6: 3 on Sunday and reach the quarter-finals of the Australian Open

It took Zverev five sets to beat Lajovic in each of his previous two French Open encounters, but the 23-year-old was more ruthless at Margaret Court Arena and sealed the win with his 15th birthday Ace

The German received 72% of his first serves and collected 44 winners to dominate 30-year-old Lajovic throughout the game

Zverev will either meet Novak Djokovic, number 1 in the world, or Milos Raonic, 14 Canadians to get a place in the semifinals
