It goes by many names — and you can cook it over the stovetop or campfire.
TBH, I have no camping trips on my horizon, but I knew I needed to try out this comfort food mash-up. I mean, what could be bad about pizza and grilled cheese rolled into one comforting sandwich?
If you don’t have a cast iron, you could easily make this in a regular skillet or non-stick pan, too.
Flip the sandwich and cook for about three minutes until both sides of bread are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
To steal my father’s words after he tried this creation, “It’s not on the spa menu.” LOL. However if you want to indulge a little, you should probably try a mountain pie… immediately. 😋
And it’s an easy lunch or dinner to whip up when you just don’t have the time or energy to cook something fancy. 🍕
